We are excited to announce the launch of our Tech Literacy Initiative, designed to empower the support staff at our school with essential technology skills. Our first session was a tremendous success, setting the stage for a series of productive and enriching workshops.
Session Highlights
1. Welcoming and Introduction
The session began with a warm welcome and an introduction to the goals of our initiative. We emphasized the importance of digital literacy in today’s educational environment and how mastering these skills can enhance both personal and professional growth.
2. Getting Started: Logging On
Our primary focus for the first session was a fundamental yet crucial aspect: logging on to computers and various systems. We provided step-by-step guidance to ensure everyone felt comfortable with this basic task. The hands-on approach allowed participants to practice in real-time, making the learning process interactive and engaging.
3. Assessing Skill Levels
To tailor our future sessions effectively, we conducted a brief assessment to gauge the existing skill levels within the group. This assessment was instrumental in identifying two distinct groups:
Beginners: Individuals who are just starting their journey with technology and require foundational training.
Intermediate: Those who have basic tech skills but need further development to enhance their proficiency.
